You may see results after three treatments, however a course of 10 is optimal, and recommended.

Can I use injectable fillers and Botox alongside Cosmetic Acupuncture?

Cosmetic Acupuncture is a rejuvenating treatment, designed for enhancement of the face, however it is still an acupuncture treatment. Body points are used to ground the treatment and keep it within this holistic framework. What are the benefits of Cosmetic Acupuncture?

Cosmetic Acupuncture can help to improve wrinkles and fine lines, lift the musculature of the face, treat the jawline, and can benefit acne scarring.
The technique of using intradermal needles locally creates microtrauma, which in turn boosts collagen and blood flow to the area, giving a plumped up smoother appearance to the skin.

Of needling directly into lines and wrinkles: “This action creates a very small wound to the face which the body then endeavours to repair. As it does this, the body produces natural collagen and wound healing properties which fill out the line… This same technique can be successfully employed on old acne scars”. From Facial Enhancement Acupuncture: Clinical Use and Application Paul Adkins (2014) Singing Dragon press.

Of reporting of the benefits of cosmetic acupuncture: “A pilot study of 28 women, ages between 40-59 received five sessions of facial acupuncture over three weeks. The results showed a significant improvement in the ‘Moire Topography’ criteria, which is used to measure the facial contours and skin elasticity”. Information taken from facialenhance.co.uk
