I came to studying Acupuncture after experiencing its incredible benefits first hand. A course of treatments successfully healed a long standing health issue, with the added benefits of feeling an abundance of energy, having great, restorative sleep, and experiencing a calm and grounded emotional outlook, during a stressful time. I decided to study at the prestigious International College of Oriental Medicine, as it has a world-wide, long established, outstanding reputation, and a wonderful community feel. I graduated from the college, after studying for a 3 year BSc Honours degree in Classical Chinese Acupuncture, in affiliation with Greenwich University. The course allowed me to have the required 3000 hours of study time to gain membership to the British Acupuncture Council, and I abide by their codes of conduct, and safety procedures. My studies incorporated 5 element theory, TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) theory, and Stems and Branches theory. All of these approaches were informed by the Chinese Classical texts which date back 2000 years. Treating issues related to women’s reproductive health, encompassing balancing the monthly cycle, fertility, pregnancy and birth preparation, is a particular area of interest and passion.

My previous role was as a Doula, supporting women through pregnancy and the postnatal period, providing emotional and practical support to new mothers and families. I was also a Veterinary Nurse in a previous role, and was privileged to witness Acupuncture’s tangible effects on animals, when used in Veterinary Medicine.
